Summary: Suikotsu feels a little neglected by his husband.

A.N. This is a fic gift for kiramaru7, who requested it at the dabble meme. I hope you like it my dear and I hope they are not too OOC for you.

Standing in the doorway of Renkotsu’s workshop, Suikotsu watched as he worked furiously on creating a new explosive for upcoming battle with Inuyasha. He had been working on combining different powders into a very explosive bomb for days and frankly Suikotsu was beginning to miss his lover. He instinctively knew that what Renkotsu was doing was very important to his fellow warriors but sometimes the fire breather got so into his work he forgot everything around him. At first Suikotsu understood, giving his lover the space he needed but now the former doctor was becoming a little impatient at the sight of his cold, empty bed. Deciding to put matters in his own hands, Suikotsu walked into the workshop.

Sauntering over to his lover, Suikotsu wrapped his arms around Renkotsu and then placed a kiss against his neck. The fire breather, who had been grinding different powders together in a bowl, tried his best not to groan. He had something important to do for Bankotsu and he would let his husband distract him from what he was doing.

“Stop it,” he growled; trying to ignore the tongue that was now caressing his neck.

Pulling away, Suikotsu angrily turned the older man around to face him.

“Ren, is what doing so important that you are able to forget all about me,” the former physician asked; trying to keep his temper at bay.

“Sui, you know I love you but I have to get this finished for Bankotsu,” Renkotsu said; hoping that his lover would understand.

Grasping his husband by the shoulders, Suikotsu looked into serious green eyes and snarled. “Is Bankotsu more worthy of your attention then me? You have left our bed cold for weeks, sometimes I wonder if you do truly care about me.”

“You know I do Sui. I love you with all of my heart,” the older man said seriously.

“Then show me Ren. Prove to me that I am matter more to you than our leader. Make me believe that you still love me," Suikotsu said in defeat.

Taking stock in his husband’s sad and angry demeanor, Renkotsu hung his head in shame. He had once again let himself get too caught up in his plans, leaving his husband to wonder if he still loved him. Anxious to prove that he still wanted Suikotsu, he took the younger man in his arms and kissed him passionately on the lips. Tongues battled for dominance, leaving both men breathless. Pulling away with a gasp, Renkotsu took Suikotsu by the hand and began to lead him out of the workshop.

“Come on let’s go to your garden,” the fire breather said; knowing it was his lover’s favorite place to make love.

“What about your work,” Suikotsu asked wearily.

“Work can wait, you can’t.” he said with a smiled.

Then taking him to the place where they had first consummated their love, Renkotsu proceeded to show his beloved husband just exactly how much he loved him.
