Kagura leaned against the bars of the holding cell, eyeing Kikyou narrowly, and if looks could kill, she would have killed her cellmate ten times over. The tall brunette averted her gaze and stared down at her hand. Damn bitch broke my nail! She glared at her cellmate, who sat there primly.

Kikyou coolly met the other woman’s gaze. Bitch!

“What are you looking at?” Kagura drawled.

“Nothing much,” Kikyou replied.

The tall brunette glared at her. “Oh really?”

“Yeah…”

“Bitch!” Kagura muttered under her breath as she turned her attention back to the squad room. Damn it, Kouga! Where the hell are you? If I have to spend another minute in here with that bitch, I’m going to kill her! Smiling when she spotted her husband and his manger, she sighed in relief. I’m so glad you’re here, Kouga! Her smile turned rueful when Jakotsu, the unwitting cause of their fight, approached them.

“Hey, ladies…” he said softly. “Everything okay?”

Kagura laughed. “Yeah… How long until we can get the hell outta here?” she asked in English.

Replying back in kind, he said, “You should be out soon.” He looked past Kagura at her cellmate. “Kikyou…”

Kikyou stared at him, her whole being radiating sheer boredom.

“We’re having trouble finding Naraku. If we can’t find him, you’re going to be spending the night.”

Kagura snickered. “Have you tried their room? I bet he’s fucking some groupie.”

“Kagura,” Jakotsu hissed, “not now.”

She shrugged.

“Anyway, I’ve offered to have you released in my custody, if they can’t find him.”

Kikyou shrugged. “He’ll show up.”

“Good…” He walked over to the others.

“He’s too good to you.”

“I know…”

Whatever else Kagura was going to say, was left unsaid when they released her. “Later, bitch…” Leaving, she waved good-bye.

“Fuck you!”
