Sheldon, feeling sick as a dog, dragged himself out of bed. In a feverish Nyquil induced haze, he wandered out of his apartment, intent on asking Penny to sing “Soft kitty” to him. Shuffling towards her apartment, he finally made it. Knocking on her door, he croaked, “Penny…” he knocked again, “Penny…” Sheldon knocked one last time. “Penny…”

Penny opened the door. “Sheldon?”

“Penny…” Sheldon sneezed. “Penny… I need you to sing ‘Soft kitty.’” He stared bleary-eyed at her.

“Awe… Sheldon, are you sick?” Penny smiled warmly at him.

“Uh hunh…”

“Okay… let’s go,” Penny said as she led him back to his own place. Once Sheldon was settled, she sang, “‘Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur… Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr…’ Feel better, Sheldon.”

Sheldon waved her away. “You were off-key,” he croaked.

“You’re welcome, Sheldon.” She shook her head at him, and humming softly, she left his room…
