What an awesome weekend I had at AnimeNext!! It was sooo worth driving through a monsoon to get there!! XD We left Friday morning, & drove to the hotel where it was held in Jersey & got there in the afternoon. Our room was nice & it was big, my only complaint was no shampoo the first day & I had to wait until 1:30 Saturday night to get towels so I could shower. XD One towel for two peeps isn't cool & there was no way I was drying off with a wash cloth! ;p What was nice about the hotel was they took the hotel channel & streamed anime in hour blocks. So we saw Yawara the fashionable judo girl, subbed I'm betting it's an old series just from the style of animation. Then they'd show Useless Captain Taylor (or Tyler), which was pretty funny! :D Gundam wong, it was nice to go back & revisit an old fave, & Slayers, which I hated when it was adult swim (I think XD) & still hate. XD They were supposed to play other ones, but it didn't matter, since it was something to watch when we'd come back to the room & just hang & recharge.
Anyway... I was dressed as fem!Prussia the whole weekend. On Friday I wore a black tee of mine with a skull on it & a red scarf I had to be rocker!Prussia, along with my white wig & a head band I sewed a lil duck plush I got at Easter time in target as my gilbird, & we went to get our badges. Which was a 5 minute walk from the hotel & great, since parking was a bitch! XD And that kinda set the tone for the whole weekend, cuz it was like "Prussia!!" There were only a few Prussias there, one dressed like a bunny (she had a black strapless bathing suit & bunny ears & tail), a card'verse Prussia, & she dressed as wonderland!Prussia the next day, a few male Prussia's & girls dressed like him. There were lots of Hetalians; mostly dressed like the main characters, I hung out with a sweet lil Holy Roman Empire & her Chibitalia, who was too cute for words. There were also Nordics, & the cutest lil Sealand! My neighbor in the hotel was a Germany, which we found funny. :D There was a chibi!Romano down the hall from us, & a Spain & Romano who were awesoem, I think they were on our floor, but on the other side. They did a pirate!Spain, & chibi!Romano & kinda ran the massive photo shoot & I can't wait to see the pix form it! Cuz they did just about every combination you can think of of arranging us! XD
They were other series there as well. I saw a few Grell, Undertakers, Sebastians & Ciels, a lot of peeps from various video games, pokemons, furries, tons of Homestuck trolls & kids, & a Darth Vader! That Vader was really awesoem! Not only did he cosplay Vader in full gear, but5 he at one point had taken his helmet off & he was madeup to look exactly like him! He also came over to say "hi!" while I was hanging out to be in Spain's & Romano's private photo shoot. He wasn't in costume so at first I had no idea who he was until he said, "Vader." XD I wound up hanging out with variosu Hetalians, & it was fun calling out country names & any time I'd find one of the other Prussia's I was like "Hey me!" & they'd go, "Hi other me!" back! For a fandom that's supposed to be F-ed up they were pretty cool! :D I also had fun giving this Hungary a hard time, she & her sister, who was dressed as Belarus, were there at the private shoot, & we were messing around in character, which was fun. :D I told her for someone who doesn't like me(Prussia), she kept getting closer & closer, which was true! XD
In the market place, I got tee shirt of Kyubey from "Puella Magical girl Madoka" a set of Hetalia playing cards, an official Gilbird plushie and when I crossed the way (it was like a 100 feet) into artist's alley, I commissioned this girl to do a chibi pic for me of Prussia & fem!Prussia. She had me pose for the ref pic of Fem!Prussia. XD She had my pic on display, peeps liked it so much she asked if she could use the design on as keychain, why not & I'd get it, so she's going to send me one! :D That was it swag-wise. I would have gotten a Prussia!kitty, but the girl at the booth apologized & said they all sold out in 5 minutes Friday morning. XD
I never got to go to any panels except the Hetalia Q&A, too busy hanging out & wandering around with other Hetalians and/or my brother. ;p Saturday night, I had dinner in the pub dressed as fem!Prussia, they had an all you can eat buffet, which was soooo much better than the crappy Chinese takeout we had delivered on Friday night. Lunch on Friday was a rest stop, lunch on Saturday was a hot dog (closest I could get to a wurst! ;p) in the cafe that adjoined the dealer's room. The hotel had tons of table top water coolers that they made into water stations, which was nice, I was like very thirsty half the time, cuz the monsoon was humid, the nicer weather on Saturday & today was warm & you needed to stay hydrated.So most of the time I wandered around, either in a pack, with my brother, or by myself & it was crazy how many peeps stopped me so they could talk to me! o.0 Especially Saturday! XD HRE said it was cuz I knew how to work it as Prussia. ;p
One funny moment, was when we spotted an Ukraine & HRE yelled "Finally a Ukraine with big boobs!" Everyone had a good laugh at that & Ukraine told us she was stuffed with water-balloons in a the biggest bra she could find. ;p I also had a Prussia tell me they force fed him peeps at the previous con he was at. I was like "Poor other me!" And hugged him. ;p
And that's about it, since it was mostly hanging out & talking to peeps. That's what I did this morning before I left. Me as Fem!Prussia in normal clothes, HRE, Chibitalia, Old Fritz era Prussia, & fem!Germany hung out & wandered aroun the marketplace. Lil Chibitalia was sooo cute! She stopped everywhere & was sooo tiny, I was afraid we'd lose her & very nervous too, so I felt it was my duty to look after Itachen, since HRE & Germany weren't looking after her that well. XD And me & Old Fritz made derpy faces & she took a pic of us with her phone, so I have to check the portal for it! And I need to find all the contact info for other pix. XD Seriously, I went last year as Soma, no one really knew who I was or said 2 words to me, this year as Prussia & it was like everyone was my friend! XD

EDIT: I just remembered there were some Seychelles there as well as a France & a fem!France, but this one Seychelles was sooo cute! And very sweet! There was also a stuck up pirate!France & England, even Pirate!Spain said they were stuck up! ;p *will probably edit this some more as I think of things & add pix & links to pix*
