Sam wandered through the bunker’s library, randomly pulling books off the shelves and flipping through them. Most were in English or Latin with a smattering of Greek, but every so often, he would find one written in a language he was unfamiliar with. He wondered about the librarian, or whoever it was that collected the books for the Men of Letters. Was the librarian a woman, with glasses and her hair in bun like Dean said, or was it a man? Whoever they were, Sam had a feeling they were smart as hell and he wished he could meet them.

Ariel lay in bed, spooning against a warm body. The angel was a Watcher, sent to Earth millennia ago to watch over the human race. It was often lonely, but all that changed when he met Paige. She was also a Watcher, but for the other side, meaning she was a demon. It wasn’t exactly love at first sight, but they grew on each other like a fungus.

“Morning, Sugar,” he said, nuzzling her bare shoulder.

“I’m trying to sleep here, Numbnuts!” Paige rolled over and kissed him.

It wasn’t exactly the language of love, but it worked for them.

The bee flitted from flower to flower. She noticed that strange being was watching her and her sisters again. It made soft rumbling sounds like distant thunder, not that she understood what it was saying any more than he was able to decipher the series of tail wagging and turns that told her sisters where to find the best nectar. She flew towards him on her way to some nectar heavy flowers.

“Sorry, my friend,” Castiel said as he backed away. He watched the bee fly off, focusing his attention on another bee in the garden. He loved watching them.
