Bernd sat on the sofa, his daughter Maria snuggled up next to him. There was an old tape in the ancient VCR which the two of them were planning on watching. Bernd had watched it when he was a little kid and he had also watched it with his son Fritz until he complained he was too old to watch such nonsense. Bernd hit “play.”
Maria’s eyes lit up. “It’s the Charlie Brown pumpkin show!”
“Yup!”
“I like that one, Vati!”
“Me too. I used to watch it with Opa.” He grinned as they settled down to watch.
“Yeah?”
“Yup.”
