Krampus stepped out of his alpine home and into a snow covered world. The moon hung big and low, surrounded by a myriad of stars in the night sky. It was Krampusnacht, the time of the year when Krampus would visit the homes of the children, beat the naughty ones with his bundle of birch branches, and sometimes he would toss the really ill behaved ones in a sack. If they annoyed him enough, he threw them into a river. The ones considered irredeemable, Krampus simply dragged down to Hell. Grabbing his sack and bundle of birch sticks, he set off into the night…
