Kitty smiled as she opened the cupboard to get a mug for her tea. Halloween would be here in a couple of weeks, so she decided to use one of her many Halloween mugs. It was her favorite holiday, as well as her birthday, and every year, someone always gave her a mug or two to celebrate what she called “the spooky season.” There were cauldrons and pumpkins galore. She also had some ghosts, bats, and several from the Disney store, but her favorites were the set of antique ones she had found last Tuesday, while browsing through a thrift store. She had so many mugs it made choosing one difficult.
“Eanie, meanie, miney, moe…” she said to herself as she pointed at her mugs. Closing her eyes, she randomly picked one. It was the antique black cat with the Cheshire grin. Grinning as broadly as the cat-shaped mug, Kitty made herself a cup of tea. Grabbing it and a couple of pumpkin cookies, Kitty headed to the living room. She set the tea and cookies down, before walking over to the TV. There she popped a horror movie into the DVD player, before sitting back down to watch one of her favorite movies.
