Sesshomaru enjoyed this time of night more than any other part of the day or night. Jaken was off tending his own needs and would not been seen or heard from again.
He preferred to see Rin before bed, her special tuck in time she called it.
Dinner was always a more formal event; he had to teach her how to be a proper lady after all.
Before bed was her time to be a kid and tell him anything, he missed
That was how he found out the kitchen workers were selling the extra‘s out the back door.
In addition, about how the downstairs girl never dusted the tops of the high cabinets.
Sure, he could have figured those things out for himself, but she was so happy to be able to assist ‘her lord’.
He would finger comb her damp hair smooth, she claimed his claws were less painful then even the finest silver brushes he had given her.
He was pulled from his musing when he heard the words “would Inuyasha?”
“Would Inuyasha what Rin?” he was intrigued, they rarely spoke of the hanyou.
“Well, when I get big I am going to marry you, and someone needs to give me away. Your Papa and mine are both unable too.” She explained as if he should have had this figured out.
“I would ask Jaken, but I think his head would explode!” she exclaimed complete with exploding hand movement and sound affects.
Cleary he had more to teach her.
