Hiei let out a little snort of derision. “Awe… isn’t that cute! Now I’ve got the warm and fuzzies,” he said dryly as Kuwabara cuddled a kitten.

“Hey!” Kuwabara snapped back.

“No really…a kitten?”

“What of it, short stuff?!”

Yusuke sighed as another argument broke out between the two.

“They do seem to go on like an old married couple, eh?” Kurama said softly.

“Yeah, but we don’t have time for that shit.”

“I know, but it is rather amusing.” The corners of Kurama’s mouth twitched upwards in a smile.

Yusuke watched them go at it for a bit. “Yeah, you’re right. It’s a regular comedy. All it needs is a laugh track and some sappy music when they kiss and make up, which’ll hopefully be soon; that shit we gotta do for Koenma isn’t gonna get done by itself.”

“Indeed…”
