Sesshomaru wrapped his hand around Kagome’s throat in a vice-like grip. He squeezed it, admiring the lovely shade of purple her face turned with the barest hint of a smug smile. How warm to the touch and fragile humans were… and how annoying too!

The gurgling sound of her last breaths was a sweet melody in his ears. He added a touch of poison from his claws to hasten her demise. Unfortunately the miko was made of sterner stuff and she refused to die like she should. Tucking a stray lock of hair behind a delicately pointed ear, he squeezed a bit harder. It was very hard not to crack a smile when her eyes bugged out.

Sesshomaru also loved the way his idiot brother stood there, completely dumbfounded as to why Sesshomaru found it necessary to get rid of the stupid miko. Since he was behaving himself by being quiet, the taiyoukai decided to enlighten him later. Sesshomaru acknowledged him with a brotherly glance, in other words, a sly shifting of his eyes, looking back in time to see the girl die.

He sighed ever so softly. This was turning out to be a glorious day in humble opinion. Naraku was his bitch, the slayer and the monk had run off to who knew where or even cared, his brother was giving him a look of hero worship of epic proportions, and best of all… that stupid annoying miko had finally shut up!
