Words: 293

Summary: Nowaki and Hiro take shelter from the rain in a music store…
Warnings: mild boys’ love
For Jen, who gave me Nowaki when I asked for a Bishie…
It was cold and rainy, and they walked along, sharing an umbrella. Hiro shivered. He hated days like this and could not wait to get back to their apartment. The next thing he knew, Nowaki had taken his hand and put in his pocket. Hiro angrily pulled it away. “What are you doing?”
“You’re cold, Hiro, and I just wanted to warm you up,” Nowaki said softly “I don’t want you getting sick with finals coming up.”
Hiro groaned. Finals were scheduled to start next week, which meant he would be spending most of his time grading papers. The last thing he needed was a bad cold on top of that headache. He sighed as he hated when his lover was right.
“Come,” Nowaki said, tugging on Hiro’s arm. He pulled him into the relative warmth of a music store. The latest techno-pop hit was playing over the store’s speakers and the place was mostly filled with kids, who took brief note of the intrusion. Nowaki closed his umbrella and pulled Hiro further into the store, pretending to look for something, while ignoring his lover’s hissing protests.
While they were inside the store, the storm outside let up. The sky brightened as it trickled down to a soft drizzle, although the streets were still relatively empty.
“It stopped raining, Nowaki, so let’s get out of here, okay?” Hiro rolled his eyes at the smile the big lug gave him.
“Okay, Hiro.”
This time when they stepped out into the damp, miserable weather, Hiro let his lover take his hand and put it in his pocket. It was too cold out to indulge in his usual prickliness whenever Nowaki got affectionate. Besides, sharing an umbrella with him was rather nice as they hurried home…
