A writer's meme stole from Jen (cheshirejin)
Put a number in the comments and I’ll answer accordingly. The mission for those of us who answer the questions, should we accept it, is to stay positive about our writing and ourselves, but to also be fair about our shortcomings.

4. What are some themes you love writing about?
5. What inspires you to write?

8. Is there a character you love writing for the most? The least? Why?
9. A passage from a WIP
10. What are your strengths in writing?
11. What are your weaknesses in writing?

1) Of the fic you’ve written, of which are you most proud? There's 2 I'm pretty proud of. "Blue Moon" Cuz of the length, it was 26k+, and how I was able to manage a large cast of characters. The other is "The Tale of the Spice Merchants & the Elf" which is very long, I don't know how many words, but it's about 13 chapters long so far. I have 2 chapters or so left to write up still. I'm proud of it cuz it's a chapter fic, something I never do, & secondly, it's an original fic that I'm collabing with my friend Kat on & it's spawned a whole cast of characters in several fics over at Madrona Project.

11) my weakness in writing are crack!pairings. I can't just throw two characters from a series together just cuz I can. They have to make sense to me. Another weakness is I sometimes need a prompt to spark something. I've become very accustomed to writing with prompts cuz of the comms I belong to here.

8) Character I love writing, I'd have to say Prussia. I don't care what I'm writing; the lil booger always tries to worm his way into it in some form. XD He's fun to write cuz he's basically a dork who thinks he's hot shit. ;p And somehow he gets away with being so full of himself. XD I also loved writing a couple of Kat's characters. Not that I really did much with them, but writing James & Thumper was a lot of fun! :D

Character I hate to write: I'd have to say America. The character irritates the hell out of me & don't get why sooo many people LOVE him. o.0 So I basically don't write him, unless it's a special request. My own characters I like writing, cuz if I didn't like them, why would I write them?

2) Favorite tense... That's easy. It's past tense. I hate present tense; it just feels too much like a laundry list of things to do. "He did this, so now he will do that." Boring... & combine that with first person... *runs for the hills*

3) Favorite POV: Omnipresent, I think that's what it's called. XD I like to take that & give my readers a glimpse of what's going on as things unfold with each character. *really not sure if I'm explaining it right* XD

Okay... let's see... ;p

Rico wiped his nose on the back of his hand. It smelled of fish and held a hint of the sea as well. He rolled his stiff shoulders, and bending over, he reached for the nets. Hand over hand he pulled, hauling the ocean's bounty into the keel of his tiny fishing boat. The sun was warm on his honeyed skin and he wiped the sweat from his brow with the same grimy hand he had used on his nose, before pulling the fish from the net. Each time he grabbed a fish, Rico would toss it towards his left into one of buckets. He had a good haul, enough to feed his family plus a little extra to sell on the docks. Leaving the net in the prow of his little fishing boat, Rico stepped over the wooden bench seat, which was little more than a plank of wood, and sat near the stern, the buckets of fish at his feet. After setting the oars, Rico shook his curly black hair from his eyes and began rowing back towards the docks and the hustle and bustle of little fishing village where he lived.
