This afternoon I went to Brooklyn's DUMBO area & got to ride Jame's Carousel! It was awesoem! :D
For a look at what it was like, have a look at the video I found on Youtube below:
I also got 2 beautiful tickets that I plan on framing. So if you're ever in the area, please take a ride! :D

We are in Brooklyn Bridge Park, where we see the beautifully restored Jane's Carousel in action. This carousel has a long history and was originally built in 1922 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company, and was originally located in Idora Park in Youngstown, Ohio. This carousel has had a storied life. From Youngstown, the carousel went into private ownership with the Walentas family. The Walentas family has since donated the carousel to the people who run this park, and it sits here today as a testament to restored classics everywhere. Enjoy the sound of the original pipe organ and drums (which are actually connected to a MiDi file player), as well as the horses and all the paintings, all of which have been meticulously restored. It take two bucks to pony up on this not-for-profit ride. It is well worth the money to take a ride back in time. Come see Jane's Carousel in the park. Enter from Dock Street or Main Street. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on May 30th, 2012."
I hope to go back again to ride it! :D
I LOVE carousels & like to ride them whenever I get the chance! :D
