James and Bernd sat at the kitchen table in James’ apartment, writing their Christmas lists. It was something they had done for as long as they had known each other. Comic books may have given way to porn, but video games still stayed on the list. When they were finished, they exchanged lists.
Bernd read James’ list and laughed. “I want Omega Glory Hounds 3 too!”
“I know, that’s why I wanted it. I thought we could battle each other.”
“Awesomeness!” Bernd grinned. “And Battle Bot had a sale on Kiku-Hime too! I should have picked it up for you, but I thought you had it already.”
“I did, but I lent it to Denis and he ‘lost’ it.”
“Figures.” Bernd rolled his eyes. Their friend Denis had a bad habit of “losing” various video games and porn that he borrowed from them. Sometimes they managed to get the lost items back, but most of the time they vanished into Denis’ collection.
“You have some decent porn here too.”
“Thanks, so do you.”
“Thanks. Hey Bernd, can you add Takoyakito my list?”
“Sure? Is that that anime porn you were talking about the other day?” Bernd said as he wrote it down.
“Yeah.”
“I think we need to go on a trip to Battle Bot’s and the adult video store.” Bernd grinned.
“Sounds like a plan to me,” James said. He grinned at his friend.
“Then let’s go!”
Armed with their lists, they spent the afternoon, buying Christmas presents for each other.
