It depends on the fandom & how comfortable I feel writing for it. If it's one I LOVE, then either is fine. If it's one I'm new to, then I prefer more specific ones. Plus it also depends on the characters. If I really love them, then it's easy and a simple one word prompt is fine.

Also if it's a gift fic, then I want as much details for the prompt as I can get.

I don't really write angst. But I do have a couple of fics in my modern AU, where Hiten (from IY) is battling AIDS, still has some feelings for his ex Bankotsu, before getting into a new relationship with Byakuya & how they try work around not having the kind of physical relationship they woudl have liked, to Hiten's eventual passing. I also have a Sessh/Rin fic or two, where she's pregnant by him & afraid of him finding out, seeing how much he "loves" his hanyou brother. Then I have one where I explored Jakotsu's "backstory" as a child prostitute. And lastly, that I can remember, I have one where Bankotsu, sitting there as his brothers-in-arms meet their death's watching, until he meets his own.

Mostly I write romance & slice of life, where the angstiest I get is worry that a love interest doesn't love the main character.

I don't really have one. XD I guess the closest I get to it would be writing about characters that get very little love like Soma & Agni. (That whole fandom is pretty much Sebby/Ciel.) Or enjoying a good bit of Germancest. ;p

I had to think about it as I've written sooo many, but the one that came to mind first was "Jakotsu and the Golden Eggie" which was about Jak playing Dragon Cave & snagging a CB Gold. :D *has 2 CB Golds*
