Today's challenge is post anything you want. I can't believe I actually managed to finish this. I generally don't like to talk about myself or post pix of me. XD

I'm tired today & would LOVE to crawl back into bed & go to sleep, but I have to go to work. XD Why am I tired? Last night I went up to Portchester to see Phil Lesh & friends. It was okay. I'm not a fan of Joan Osbourne, who sang lead, & I was in general admission, which normally isn't bad, but we seemed to be an A-hole magnet. But the end of the night I was ready to yank this fat lil blonde's dreads right off her head. Space was tight, so it was hard to really dance this moron kept backing up & swishing her dreads on me & it was nasty. & he boyfriend was this fat bald hump who also had no concept of person space & their friends were a bunch of A-holes too. Then some guy grabbed my ass while he was "dancing" so I gave him a death glare. Second time I was at that venue & the peeps there were just ANNOYING as HELL!! I saw the Dead & Company at Citifieild & there were a TON of peeps in general admission & it was cool, no one was a dick, everyone was mellow. Hell, when I went to see Epica & mosh pit open up right next to us, there was only one A-hole & that was the fat guy that wanted to crowd surf & landed on me. & he was talked out of doing it again by an angry dude & this TALL skinny dude who came over to stop their fight before it happened. ;p So Happy 77th, Phil!! (I'm a bit annoyed I missed "Box of Rain" as he sang it the night before, but okay, I'll live. :D)

Thanks! (You'll finish too! :D)

Thanks, but it's not your fault. I just think that town is full of A-holes & they were all at the concert and that's my story & I'm sticking to it. ;p

Not totally, but it could have been better. I was just at a concert in the City, like 2,3 weeks ago, for the guitarist's band, so same exact music, but a much better crowd. These were a bunch of morons with no sense of person space. *shrugs* I will definitely not be returning to that venue, but I will go see Phil again. :D

There are venues I won't go back to in Columbus, in this case less the people and more the building. I'm getting too old for concert venues where you have to a) stand for hours because it's general seating and b) stand the entire concert. If I'm paying that much money it best come with a damn seat.

*nods* We stood the whole night. Well, I did my best to dance in limited space, but it was tricky, since it's an old theater & it seems like all the seats on the floor were removed to cram in all the general admission peeps. XD I've been to 2 very small places in the city that I would go back, despite general admission = standing. XD And that's with walking up stairs to get to the main area. They must have LOVED stairs in the old timey days when the buildings were built. ;p

If I could move a little standing isn't so bad but yeah I'm over the standing thing

I think they were a tougher lot than we are now, back then.

The one I had gone to was SO oversold you couldn't move nor would they make accomodations for a handicapped person

WOW! They actually had a section for handicapped peeps with a few seats so if you went with a person in a wheelchair, you could sit next to them & enjoy the show together.

that's what really pissed us off because my friend is a caretaker to a head damaged blind woman and they didn't even want to let HER stay with her charge and we kept telling them she couldn't be left alone. In the end, she went with her and I had to stay behind with some mutual friends and evnetually had to leave the concert because my legs were going out (If I stand without moving for too long the nerves pinch)

That would piss me off too. That's just ridiculous what they did to your friend. That's bad that they wouldn't let you all sit together, but some peeps are massive A-holes. Some aren't. When I had broken my foot, I borrowed my granny's cane (she needed it for a while after getting a knee replacement)as it made walking more comfortable & I went to the movies with my aunty & the usher when she noticed I was injured, helped me to my seat & made the peeps sitting with their feet up, put them down. (The theater has recliners you sit in which is nice & comfy :D)I told her I was fine it was just a broken foot, but no, she insisted on helping, which makes me wonder if the theater has a policy of assisting handicapped peeps. When they remodeled the place & put in the recliners, they put in a row specially for handicapped patrons & it sells out last (just in case).

Yeah it was pure assholery and no independent thought. The policy was 'first come first served' to the spots on the floor and they weren't altering for anyone.

That was really nice of that theater attendant though.

That sucks! What a stupid policy that doesn't allow for exceptions.

It really was! :D
