Nor'easter XD

We got a day off from work thanks to this huge nor'easter that blew in. It's been snowing non-stop since this morning. Instead of writing, I picked up my dad's camera that he said I could use and I took a few pix of the poor birds in the backyard. (I was in the kitchen when I took these.)

Under the cut cuz they're big-ish. XD Also any white on the birds is snow.

Thanks, Kat. They're really as fat as they look. They're just fluffed up cuz it's COLD. But I do feed them, so maybe they're a bit fatter than normal. XD

Oh yeah! Especially since all the previous snow had melted, it's starting to get lighter in the morning & stay lighter longer in the evening. They now sing in the mornings when I walk to work, which is about 6:30 in the morning. It's sooo nice hearing them! Now I wouldn't blame them if they got quiet again. XD

Mine were hopping everywhere in my garden today. We had frozen fog which was like walking into needles.

Awe... :D Yesterday, we saw a bunch of robins in the elementary school courtyard & the kids were so excited. XD I don't know what they're going to eat now that everything's blanketed in snow.

Yeah, or suet. Our feeders and suet cages were full today. I'll have to refill them tomorrow. XD And I tossed out some old rolls that the starlings went NUTS over. XD

Yeah! They kinda swoop in & take over. XD It's fun watching them. Last summer we had like 30 of them out back. XD Then again, we've had 30 doves too. XD (No wonder the hawks like to visit! XD)

ahahahha you have a nice yard from the sounds of it. Mom and Dad get those fat doves too. We put seed on the porch so Kanda can watch them thru the glass in the winter when we're there.

Thanks! I want to get some butterfly bushes to try & get hummingbirds to come visit. :D We call them Squeakers since they sound like they need a bit of oil when they take off. XD Cool! When the stupid gardeners broke the window in the den, we had to move the birds upstairs & Gilbee had fun walking on the dining room window ledge & looking at the wild birds on the outside ledge. We put seeds there in the winter & sometimes in the summer if it's been rainy & the backyard is flooded. XD
