What a weekend

kiramaru7This weekend my sister & I were supposed to go to a con in Pennsylvania. Mother Nature had other ideas. XD We got hit with nor'easter & ended up with around a foot and a half of snow. XD It's very pretty and it really didn't take long to dig out, thanks to the wind on Saturday while it was still snowing. It actually started on Friday, with a couple of flurries. It wasn't too bad to drive in, which was good as I had to work that morning, & later on we went to the medical supply place. I have a stress fracture in my driving foot & my sister nicely drove me around so I could find on of those plastic cast protectors. Not that I have a cast on, but I do have a bit of a soft cast on covering the area from my toes to my ankle. XD I was told to keep it dry, which made showering the one night a royal pain (I had a plastic bag on my foot & it felt leaky) & Thursday night I washed with baby wipes as I didn't want to get my foot wet. Thankfully I was able to shower this weekend. ;P
Anyways, while digging out, Ginger, my wild bunny, paid us a visit. The snow blower was rather loud & I think we scared her, although she did come over for a visit. :D I ran in as best I could for some bread, which she likes, but unfortunately, my sister accidentally scared her again with the snow blower. T.T I hope she found the bread I left out for her, before the poor lil birds find it. I did do my best to feed them during the storm. My feeders are empty. I have 5 & one of them holds about 6 pounds of food. XD So they ate a lot! I even threw seeds out the window as well as a peanut butter & seed sandwich. XD I always feel sooo bad for them in the winter.
Tomorrow ought to fun driving to work in the snow. I'll have to wear my boots & see if I can put my surgical shoe on when I get inside. I have a bad knee on that side & it's hard to put the strap on & take it off. XD At least I can sit. :D
