ARRRRRGH!!!
Feb. 13th, 2016 04:23 pmHypocrites, how I LOATHE thee! I've been informed that it's okay to write about a taboo subject if it helps you cope with the taboo subject, but if you write about it for any other reason, such as exploring it to understand why peeps find it taboo and/or appealing makes you a deviant. Never mind writing about a pairing that's "taboo" cuz you like the characters, think they look good/hot together, realize they're fictional characters doing something you would never dream about doing in real life. This could be anything from doing drugs, doing self harm, attempting suicide, acting out in a violent manner, having a relationship or desiring someone younger than the other character in the relationship, really basically anything that society as a whole deems questionable and taboo. And you can probably also lump homosexuality, any sexual practices that are considered outside the "norm" in there too. It doesn't matter you will be judged a deviant & heaven help you if you try to argue the point that "fantasy" had no bearing on reality, it just reinforces their view that you're a deviant. *sighs* That and never argue with an asshole, you'll never win and only end up getting more and more frustrated and angry. ;p
