I decided to try my hand at Camp Nano this year & after wasting a week doing nothing, panicking I wasn't going to make my goal (and eventually cutting it in half XD),having to devote some writing time to making a skirt & bustle for the Sakura Matsuri festival (I went with a Gothic steampunk look), watching a bunch of movies that I wanted to see that my granny lent me, and going to work... I actually much to my amazement "won" Camp Nano! XD To be honest, I had an extremely modest word count that I set for myself of 5,000 words (down from 10,000) since I writing short stories instead of a novel. I want to take a minute here to thank COM for telling me about Camp Nano & suggesting I try it. I also want thank Vexed for hosting a bingo at allbingo this month for wonderful prompts that inspired what I wrote for Camp Nano. I also want to thank Big Pretzel for putting a DeW that I had to write for (Charlie & unicorn :D), it may have only been a drabble, but every word counts, so yeah! Lastly I want to thank my beta Kat, for not only betaing my crappu, but pointing out a fic that wasn't working (still counts towards my word count though even if it's abandoned for the moment), which got me to dash off a better fic in its place. So this one's for all of you!! I never could have done it without you!! *holds up my award*




Oh and in case you're wondering, I wrote 7817 words according to Camp Nano. I think if I hadn't wasted so much time, I probably could have made my original word count. XD While getting stuff ready to post, I saw I accidentally shorted myself about 5 words. XD So 7822 for a grand total. :D Will I fix it at camp Nano? Probably not as it's only 5 words & I think I have reenter everything to do that & that was a hassle & a half. XD
