I was listening to/watching some old Queen on YouTube, when I decided to have a go at doing a portrait of late great Freddie Mercury. I loved his long hair from the early 70's (think "Killer Queen"), so that's what I decided to go with. Painted in Photoshop, it took me a couple of hours, I think as I didn't really keep track. I started it around 10 this morning, took a bit a break during it, so maybe 3 hours? *shrugs*

Killer queen

Author’s notes: Story number three in the “Queen challenge,” this time I got to use my favorite pairing of Bankotsu/Jakotsu. We’ve hit album number three as well, Sheer Heart Attack, and Jinxy-sama has given me the song, “Killer Queen,” to work with. To make things a bit more challenging, we each had to use a line form the song that the other picked at random. I got, “Drop of a hat she's as willing as, Playful as a pussy cat,” with a word count set at 500 to 875 words. It was tough, but I came in at the upper limit.

Thanks to my beta, Jen, for helping me whip that ending into shape too!

Some background information on this fic:

It’s set in my “Homecoming” universe, which is AU. In it, everyone is older than in the canon storyline as well as all being human. Kusao Bankotsu, who owns his own record label, Lucky Seven Records, is a record producer and manager for the band Youkai. His life-partner, Hibiya Jackson (Jackson is his first name), aka Jakotsu is a successful actor; he’s an onnagata, a man specializing in women’s roles, and he and Ban met on the set of Youkai’s first music video, after they signed with Lucky Seven Records. Jakotsu works in Kyoto, which is Japan’s version of Hollywood, while Bankotsu lives in Tokyo and they enjoy a somewhat long distance relationship. Lucky for them, Jakotsu is famous enough that the studio works around his schedule, which gives them a three day weekend, plenty of time to make the three hour trip by bullet train to snuggle with his “Ban honey.”

Jinxy-sama & I have been at it again. ;p This is the second in a series of Queen related IY fics. This tiem we're visiting Queen II and once again I got a Brian May tune. :D My Pairing for this one was Sesshomaru/Kagura... Not a pairing I've written before, I'm more of a Sessh/Rin-shipper. ;p Still, I think I did okay with it. Sessh surprisingly diodn't turn out to be too much of a marshmallow in this one. ;p
